Who we are
Glam Repairs is an online skin consultation service operating in Pakistan. We provide written skin assessments prepared by qualified aesthetics professionals. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at glamrepairs@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect what is needed to assess your skin and send you your report. Information you give us
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your age range, city and general climate.
- Your answers to the skin assessment questionnaire — skin type, concerns, duration, current routine and products.
- Lifestyle information you choose to share: sleep, water intake, stress level and sun protection habits.
- Any skin history, sensitivities, reactions or goals you describe to us.
- Photographs of your face and areas of concern, however you send them to us.
- Messages you send us through any channel we operate, and proof of payment where you choose to send it.
- Your login credentials, managed by our authentication provider. We never see your password.
- A record of your consultations, reports, progress notes and any appointments you book.
- A randomly generated session identifier, so your answers persist if you leave and return.
- Standard technical data recorded by our hosting provider, such as IP address and browser type.
If you create an account
Information collected automatically
We do not ask for government identification numbers or full financial account details, and you should not send them to us.
Health-related information
Some of what you tell us — skin conditions, reactions, medication effects on your skin — may be considered health-related information, which carries a higher standard of protection under many privacy laws. We process it only with your explicit consent, given when you tick the consent boxes at the end of the assessment. You may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will delete the information we hold. Glam Repairs does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Our assessments are cosmetic guidance and are not a substitute for advice from a doctor or dermatologist.
Your photographs
Please read this section carefully. It describes a real limitation. Your photographs are the most sensitive thing you send us, and how they are protected depends partly on the channel you use to send them. What we do, whichever channel you use
- Your photographs are used for one purpose only: preparing your personal skin assessment.
- They are viewed only by the qualified practitioner assigned to your assessment, and where relevant a reviewing practitioner.
- We delete photographs from our own systems within 30 days.
- We will never publish your photographs, use them in marketing, or show them as before-and-after examples without asking you separately and receiving your explicit written permission.
- We do not sell or rent your photographs to anyone.
- A copy will exist in your own account on that service, and in ours.
- That copy is governed by that provider's privacy policy, not this one. Some providers encrypt message content in transit; the stored copies still sit on devices and in that provider's backup systems.
- We can delete our copy. We cannot delete the copy held in your own account on a third-party service, or any backup either party has enabled. You can delete your side yourself at any time.
- The provider may process metadata about the fact that you contacted us, even where it does not read the content.
Where you upload photographs directly to us When you upload photographs through your account or another channel we operate directly, they are stored on our own managed infrastructure, under our access controls, and are covered entirely by this policy. This is the channel we recommend, because it is the one where our commitments above are the only ones that apply. Where you send photographs through a third-party service You may instead send photographs through a third-party messaging or email service. If you do:
If you would prefer to avoid third-party services entirely, tell us and we will arrange for you to send your photographs directly to us.
How we use your information
- To prepare and deliver your personal skin assessment report.
- To email or message you your report and any follow-up relating to your assessment.
- To operate your account, if you create one, and show you your consultation history and progress.
- To send you service notifications — appointment reminders, payment confirmations, and updates about your consultation — by email, messaging service, or in your account.
- To arrange and take payment for your consultation.
- To arrange and conduct appointments with a practitioner, including video consultations where offered.
- To respond to questions you send us.
- To improve our questionnaire and service quality, using aggregated information that does not identify you.
- To meet any legal obligation that applies to us.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making. Every assessment is prepared and approved by a human practitioner.
Marketing
We will only send you marketing messages if you separately opt in. Your assessment report and messages about your own consultation are not marketing and will be sent regardless. You can opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by replying STOP to a marketing message, or by emailing us.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to operate, and only to the extent required:
- Our hosting and database providers, who store your assessment data securely on our behalf.
- Our email provider, used to deliver your report and correspondence.
- Messaging and notification providers, where you choose to communicate with us that way or where we send you service notifications.
- The qualified practitioner assigned to your assessment.
- Our payment providers, where you pay through a payment method that involves one.
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes — except for third-party messaging services you choose to use, where that provider's own terms govern the copy held on their systems. Some providers store data outside Pakistan; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection. We may disclose information if required by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
If you are a practitioner
If you apply to provide consultations through Glam Repairs, we collect and verify additional information about you: your name, contact details, professional qualifications, certificates, registration numbers where applicable, and a photograph. We do this so that clients can see who is reviewing their skin, and so that we can confirm you are qualified to do so. Your name, professional title, credentials and photograph will be published on your public profile page. Documents you submit for verification — degree certificates and similar — are stored privately and are not published.
How long we keep it
- Photographs on our systems: deleted within 30 days.
- Photographs sent through a third-party service: we delete our copy; copies held in your own account on that service are under your control.
- Assessment answers, reports and progress notes: retained while your account is active, so we can provide continuity at follow-ups and compare progress over time.
- Account records: retained until you ask us to close your account.
- Contact and messages: retained for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and to keep a record of what was advised.
- Practitioner verification documents: retained for as long as the practitioner works with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards.
You can ask us to delete all of your information at any time and we will do so, except where we are legally required to keep a record.
Security
Your information is stored on managed infrastructure with access controls, and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to client photographs and assessment data is restricted to practitioners who need it to do their work, and access is logged. No system is completely secure. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Delete your information, including your photographs.
- Stop or restrict how we use it.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave.
Email glamrepairs@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can access your information.
Children
Glam Repairs is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information or photographs from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted an assessment, contact us and we will delete it.
Mobile applications
We currently operate as a website. If we release iOS or Android applications, this policy will be updated before they launch to describe any additional information those apps collect — such as device identifiers, push notification tokens, or camera access — and you will be asked to consent where required.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you directly.
